Professional Teeth Whitening

It is a normal for humans to respond positively to good health indicators. We tend to be drawn to people who are healthy and we are most likely to avoid those who have poor health and diseases. Our overall health condition can greatly affect how we deal with people, thus it is very important that we learn how to take care of our health and improve the way our health indicators look. For example, aspiring to have smooth skin, silky hair and white teeth will necessarily improve the way we look while telling everyone around us that we are healthy thus fostering positive human responses towards ourselves. Attraction can worked on, you know, and this article will try to help you improve one of your most basic health indicators: your teeth.

You have to get it straight though that you don’t have to own a set of perfectly white and uniformly shaped teeth in order to make your teeth as a good health indicator. You just have to keep your teeth plaque-free, decay-free and of course light-colored. You just have to check yourself in the mirror and observe how comfortable you are with flashing your teeth. If you re not, then maybe it is time for you to think about the touching-ups that you have to do. Just remember that in which ever parallel universe you belong, no one is attracted with yellow teeth.

As a general advice, you have to brush your teeth at least twice a day and keep in mind that flossing is not an option but a must. Floss your teeth before you go to sleep and then rinse your mouth with mouth-wash or plain water. Don’t forget that brushing may not be sufficient to remove all the food debris in mouth and by not making sure that they are all removed (that is, by not flossing), the food debris will rot in between your teeth and serve as a major cause of yellow teeth.

When is the last time you have visited a dentist? You should pay your dentist a visit twice in a year or every six months to be exact. If there is anyone more than removing plaque and for debris in your mouth, then it will be your dentist. Regular visits to your dentist will also save your teeth from severe damage because the dentist will be able to address any teeth problem before it becomes worse.

Professional help is also very valuable when it comes to teeth whitening. In-office teeth whitening performed by professional dentist are always more effective than the other methods available nowadays. Dentists use low grade laser to increase the speed of the oxidation that is caused by the whitening agent. Whitening agents used by dentist contain high concentrations of carbamide peroxide, the very same ingredient found in all teeth whitening products sold in the market. The dentist applies this whitening agent directly on the teeth surface through custom-made trays that fits perfectly unto the teeth. The tray is filled with the whitening solution and the teeth is then immersed into this solution for a couple of minutes. The dentist will then put on protective covering over the gums and patient and then exposes the patient’s treated teeth to a special type of light (laser teeth whitening). The exposure only takes about thirty to sixty minute after which the shade of the teeth of the person being treated will be at least seven times lighter!

Professional teeth whitening is often more expensive because of the involvement of the dentist in the process, but if you are really after real and fast results, you should invest on an in-office treatment rather than try cheaper home teeth whitening products. In the end, there is more possibility of you wasting your money on products that do not really work if you continue to patronize different kinds of whitening products and not try a professional whitening session.
